Adopted on January 12, 2024, the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 14 “On the Protection of Public Health in the Kyrgyz Republic” defines the legal, economic, social and medical foundations, guarantees and measures to protect the health of citizens in the Kyrgyz Republic. The law applies to citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, foreign citizens and stateless persons permanently or temporarily residing in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, all legal entities and individuals whose activities are related to health protection.
A number of laws have been incorporated into the Act: the Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Precursors Act (with regard to treatment), the Psychiatric Care and Guarantees of the Rights of Citizens in the Provision of Psychiatric Care Act, the Oncological Care to the Population Act, the Human Organ and/or Tissue Transplantation Act, the Health Care Organizations Act, the Diabetes Mellitus Act, the Donation of Blood and Blood Components Act, the Breastfeeding Protection of Infants and the Regulation of the Marketing of Products and Products and Products Artificial Nutrition for Children”, “On the Status of a Medical Worker” and “On the Reproductive Rights of Citizens and Guarantees of Their Implementation”.
