The 2026 International Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition held in Washington D.C. came to an end with 172 teams representing 89 countries, and 174 judges from 51 jurisdictions.
We are especially proud that AXTON’s counsel, Aidar Oruzbaev, was the only judge from Kyrgyzstan participating in the International Rounds this year. It is encouraging to see professionals from our region contributing to initiatives of this level and supporting the next generation of international lawyers.
Jessup remains the world’s largest and most prestigious moot court competition in public international law. Since its inception in 1959, it has simulated proceedings before the International Court of Justice and earned its reputation as the true “global championship” of international law.
